Carla was an amazing host, very attentive and always available if we needed anything. The area of trestavere is great also, much better than staying near big tourist sites as it’s far less busy. The apartment was very basic. Had everything we needed but the bathroom was a bit outdated and it had mould on the roof and a broken shower screen. The kitchenware could do with an update but still useable. Tv didn’t work well but that doesn’t matter. Air con was good and so was the washing machine. Overall it was as appears in photos and in a good spot with a really lovely host.

Carla’s place is a great place to stay in Rome. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, has wifi and everything that you need for a stay in Rome. She supplied umbrellas which was useful when it rained and the apartment has a great collection of guide books and maps.

Carla's Manara House is a fabulous apartment in Trastevere, in a great location only steps to picturesque streets and squares, full of bars, restaurants, shops, even a superb little supermarket one street away that had everything you could want. This classy apartment has high ceilings and double height windows, and tasteful furnishings. It was very clean, well organised and professionally maintained by Carla, with a fully set-up kitchen and a generous bathroom. The apartment is in a grand old building with marble window sills and a beautiful marble and wrought iron staircase once through the impressive wooden double doors from the street, but has a convenient elevator to use for luggage and for when you've already walked all day. I would have loved to have stayed much longer, and would absolutely stay there again when in Rome. Carla was a great host too. 6 stars!
