Wonderful spot to stay near Portsmouth. Thomas and Annette were so gracious and generous! And they are incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Not to mention extremely interesting to talk to! The home is inviting and comfy filled with many treasures. The oversized jacuzzi tub was an unexpected treat. We felt like old friends instead of guests and wished we could have spent more time with them. Thank you for an amazing stay and your incredible hospitality!!

What a wonderful place to relax after a hectic day in Portsmouth! Tom and Annette are the perfect hosts, always willing to offer suggestions on things to do and driving directions, as well as discuss travel, politics, or any other subject. Their house is located in a lovely area and guests have access to much of it. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable and the bathroom even had a jacuzzi tub (which we, unfortunately never had time to use). The washer/dryer came in handy after our several days of traveling. And thx yogurt, English muffins, and coffee at breakfast were a welcome treat! If you plan to visit Portsmouth and are looking for a place nearby, yet out of the crowds of the town, you can do no better than to stay at Nimble Hill - it’s a gem!

Thomas has a beautiful place, very clean and very accessible by car, the neighborhood is comfy and quiet, we had a great time visiting Portsmouth! The room was very nice and they even had a jacuzzi (no shower) with flowers. Definitely recommend!

If you are ever going to Portsmouth (or the surrounding area), you have to stay here! Thomas and his partner were so welcoming and were overall wonderful hosts. The room was very clean, and there were personal touches, such as candy and bottled water, left in our room. They even made sure to have the coffee ready when we woke up each morning! The bathroom has a jacuzzi bathtub that is out of this world, and the mattress in the room with the double bed was so comfortable. The house is filled with gorgeous artwork, and there is even a pool to enjoy if you visit while it's warm. Thomas is a wealth of information about Portsmouth, and can give so many great tips on outings, restaurants, and even back roads to take so you don't sit in traffic. If you stay here, make sure to ask him for ideas about what to see and do. We did everything that was recommended to us on our weekend away and we are so happy that we did. We can't wait to come back again! If you have time to sit down and chat, Thomas and his partner can tell you all about the wonderful adventures they have been on. Make sure to also say hello to and pet the adorable "doorbell" dogs, Jenny and Finn!

Thomas' place is fantastic, and he and his partner could not have been any more helpful and hospitable during my stay. Everything from driving directions to food recommendations to long chats about life over a drink in the evening. Spotless and spacious interiors, super comfortable bed, coffee and conversation in the morning, two adorable dogs to pet, private pool right there in the backyard, wall art from prominent New England artists... it really was an amazing place to stay for a few days.
