Für uns gibt es keinen Ort an dem wir uns wohler fühlen als in einer Unterkunft wie dieser. Nach langer Anreise ist man sofort im Urlaub angekommen. Die Umgebung mit all den unglaublichen Geräuschen und Tieren ist einmalig. Der Strand ist einer der schönsten an der Karibikküste und macht den Aufenthalt perfekt. Großes Lob an die Menschen die das Congo Bongo führen...alles ist stimmig! Alle Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und authentisch mit dem was sie tun.
Endroit idyllique 👍 Nous recommandons fortement. Expérience à vivre au milieu des Paresseux 🦥, des singes, des grenouilles, colibris, oiseaux, crabe de terre…. Et un raton laveur qui s’est invité car nous n’avions pas mis la nourriture en sécurité comme indiqué. Point négatif : séjour trop court😀

What an incredible spot! Having a private open-air home in the jungle felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It was amazing to wake up and watch the animals while having your morning cup of coffee. Monkeys, frogs, hummingbirds, agouti, and so much more! The walk to the beach was beautiful, and the beach is honestly the best in the area. Not too far from Puerto Viejo, and it's an easy walk to Manzanillo either via the road or beach. Make sure to go to Tambie Bro's Panaderia! We felt very secure in the ecovillage. There is a gate to the complex that gets locked at night, the doors to the bedrooms all lock, and there are safes to keep your valuables. Kitchen has utensils, pots and pans, etc to help prepare a delicious meal! There is also a water purification unit so that you have clean, cold water at all times. Really, this place is incredible and I highly recommend it. I would definitely come back!
Et lille stykke paradis. Hvis du vil prøve at bo i junglen i en perfekt hytte så er Congo Bongo stedet. En masse dyreliv lige uden for døren. Tæt på den søvnige by Manzanillo, med en dejlig restaurant. Et perfekt getaway.

Congo-Bongo EcoVillage is a family-run property featuring eight beautiful vacation houses for rent in Manzanillo, South Caribbean, Costa Rica, just up the road from Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Limón. We are located within the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, one of the best national parks in Costa Rica. Our property is about 6.5 hectares (15.6 acres) in size, and is nestled in a private nature park and tropical garden with plenty of wildlife. Only 200 meters away from the houses you'll find a pathway that leads to a fairly private stretch of beautiful, white-sand beach. This path is just a little west of the village Manzanillo, but it’s a little nature tour of its own. Congo-Bongo welcomes guests from all over the world, and of all ages - from 0 to 80+, everyone is very welcome! We strive to exceed your expectations: we'll do more than just hand you a key!
