A spectacular property, with really friendly hosts. It's in an old house so some quirks, but nothing the hosts couldn't help with. Brand new washer/dryer, nice stove, and great bed. The walking path by the falls and the river alone is worth the stay.

Bob and Emery were great hosts! Their apartment is equipped with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. I recommend checking them out.

My husband and our two dogs visited for about a week and it was amazing! As soon as we pulled in Neuro and Mondo met us in the driveway giving us a warm welcome ! Of course the dogs were just super excited. 🐶 the views from the back yard is the perfect place to do some yoga, read a book or just take a nap! Night time stars ! Just bring a flashlight it gets VERY VERY dark lol Barry was very informative of the local agriculture and gave me quit a few recommendations on good reads for holistic and native practices ! Such a history wiz! Everyone respected our privacy but was easily accessible if needed! Being from out of town can be a little unsettling but Bob and everyone present made it comfortable ( even had Shea Moisture hair products ! 🤩) Can’t wait to visit during the summer !

This is the best find near I-91 in Southern Vermont there is (period). So please don't go there, because you might be booking when I want to return. Simple, rustic, quiet, comfortable, but with acres of grounds around the house that would be the envy of any 5 star hotel. Beautiful gardens, highlighted by mowed lawns that stretch down to the Saxton River (more like a rambling brook to this Ohio River resident), where the Saxton horseshoes back around Bob and Emery's property, making for truly scenic private walking trails. The private swimming hole below the waterfall in the backyard is, according to our 12 year old granddaughter, "The best she's ever been to in Vermont" Personally, I like the views and quiet of the two outdoor seating areas sitting on a bluff overlooking the river. Bellows Falls is a quaint town with all one needs, about a mile away, and the proximity to I-91, exit 5 is real bonus for going to the mountains or Brattleboro or even a bridge to New Hampshire. Some cool towns there. Bob and his son, Emery, are gracious, helpful hosts. Mondo and Nero are wonderfully affable dogs (again, a granddaughter "fave"). We had to make several changes to our reservation where both Bob and Emery were very flexible and helpful. Good Vermont people. The price per night beats nearby Airbnb's by a mile. Like I say, don't go there. I'm going back as much as I can.
