A really lovely house in the middle of Ashburton which is full of high quality foodie shops and cafes. Less hectic than nearby Totnes and with a relaxed, friendly feel. We swam in the River Dart, swam in the local outdoor pool (heated & open May-Sept) and also swam in the sea…The house itself is a gorgeous mix of character, artiness and comfort with plenty of space, decorated beautifully (superb shower and deliciously soft bedding). There are pretty views from the top to the hills beyond. Ashburton Arts Centre is opposite and has a quirky programme of events and concerts. Great coffee at The Old Library. All in all we had a magical time and would very happily return. Thank you!
Great townhouse in central location. Lots of space in the house to relax and right on the doorstep of Ashburton’s burgeoning restaurants and shopping scene. Right at the foot of Dartmoor too. On road car access for check in and check out could be a little tricky at peak times but the public car park to the rear gives an easy back up option. Would happily return for another stay. Really nice touch on arrival with homemade Devon cream tea!
A tasteful, beautifully decorated home with plenty of space for our party of 2 adults and 4 children. The purpose of our trip was to explore Dartmoor and this place was perfectly located. We particularly enjoyed the little terrace area in the evenings!
What an absolutely beautiful home to escape to. Wendy and Chris went out of their way to provide everything we needed particularly when I arrived on my own with 3 children! The house itself is superbly decorated and full of lovely amenities. Everything was of a very high standard and lots of thoughtful homely touches. All of the bedding, towels etc are of high quality. The house is in a wonderful position in the centre of Ashburton with fantastic eateries, pubs and quirky shops. We will absolutely be returning!
This was our second stay here with all the family and we all loved the house & Ashburton. Wendy & Chris are great & thoughtful hosts.

自我介绍
My family emigrated from South Africa when I was 7 years old. I have lived and worked in and around London and Birmingham but have been in Devon for the last 20 years, moving to Ashburton ten years ago when I remarried. It is a beautiful part of South Devon & so close to the incredible Moors and Coastline. I worked as a nurse for almost 25 years, but since leaving the NHS have reignited my creative passions & am now an artist and sculptor. My husband Chris works on exciting building projects in and around Ashburton and although he was a geologist & spent time overseas in South Africa, he was born and has lived in the west country for most of his life. Last but definitely not least, I have a beautiful daughter, Alice, who has completed her 3rd year at Heythrop, University of London attaining a 2-1 in Study of Religions. I am incredibly proud of her, not only for receiving those results and for all her hard work, but also because she has developed into a strong willed, wonderful person who is great to spend time with & who will do well in whatever she chooses to undertake simply because of who she is.
