This place is as advertised. we went in early October and the view of the Hudson was amazing, with the leaves starting to change. The place was older, but it was clean and the amenities were nice. A bad weather day meant we weren't able to take advantage of the hot tub or kayak, but the hot tub looked nice with a great view. The little beach house was cute and it is definitely on the water. Sounds funny to say that, but we've stayed in a lot of places where "access to the shore" is loosely interpreted. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was fine. Kitchen has the basics, although we didn't cook. My only warning is that there are a lot of steps. The bedroom is upstairs and the river is about a hundred steps down. Didn't bother us, but keep it in mind.

Great, peaceful stay. Wonderful proximity to NYC for a getaway with stunning views. Joan was responsive and helpful throughout the stay.

We loved to stay at Joans wonderfull house at the riverside. We felt at home from the first minute and loved the beautiful surroundings. The view from the terrace and the spa was absolutely breathtaking and we loved the boathouse at the riverbank. Joan was a very helpfull and kind host and we love to return some time in the future.
