The house is as described. We had young children with us and they were immediately drawn to the space and went straight into play mode in the piano/toy area. If you're looking for something new and shiny, this is not it. It is lived-in, comfortable, family friendly with an expansive view from those lovely picture windows. Sheep and cockatoos were the main event and at the time of stay.. plenty of fog, which was an experience for out of towners. Great find in the area and the hosts were easy going and clear with their communication. Do note only one shower and one bathtub, though 2 WCs. A shout out to the Songbird Cafe and Larder 5 mins drive from the house. We went back daily for the exception food and service. Also to the 2 cute neighbour llamas.

Beautiful house with all the amenities you could need. The views over the ranges are gorgeous. Had a very relaxing time wandering around with my dog, would stay again.

White House on the Hill is a perfect mix of a getaway in the mountains with rolling paddock views, bush surrounds with beautiful towering trees, functional and spacious living areas and close proximity to town. There are bike paths in to Kinglake town, and off in a couple of other directions to explore by bike or walking. The property has views of bush and views of the hills and adjacent sheep paddocks. Inside, the creatively set up and decorated house has plenty of windows for light and fresh mountain air and the kitchen is very well equipped. B was very responsive, helpful and friendly throughout the stay. My border collie and I had a great time starting 2024 with a relaxing break there. If you're lucky, you too might also catch a double rainbow over the hills during your stay!
