Very dissatisfied with this accomodation … furnishing very old and dirty .. stains on all lounges and ottomans and smells of animals .. cockroaches everywhere on arrival and even in beds while sleeping … laundry left in dryer .. washing machine so old it ruined clothes .. dryer full of sand.. kitchen appliances are from the 70s .. everything is cluttered and old … all linen is old and thread bare .. upstairs loft area is extremely hot and infested with cockroaches.. no one could sleep up in that area … swimming pool need to be drained as it totally stinks and ruined all swimwear … tennis court is in very poor condition Photos do not reflect this property Definitely is not luxury nor is it worth $1000 per night price tag once u pay the cleaning and service fees !! My suggestion would be knock down and rebuild as view is nice

Great location, beautiful beach, lovely home with a nice pool and tennis court. Great position between Port Douglas and the Daintree. A little renovation is required and if you have a large group, the upstairs is open plan, so the a/c is not really effective or private. Would recommend for a group of up to 6, but more than that can become a little squishy.

Beach gorgeous. Sunrise is amazing. The house is open and relaxed and extremely functional. Really close to Mossman for supplies and Port Douglas. Little shop just a beach stroll away. Loved it.

Wendy was lovely to deal with and had lots of local knowledge. We stayed at The Edge, 2 adults and 3 children. The house location right on the beach is amazing (note you cannot swim at the beach but beautiful for walks and listening to the ocean and of course the view!). The pool whilst fantastic is not really suitable for small children as there is only one step for them to play on and the rest of the pool would require floaties and an adult in the water or to be a strong swimmer. Handy to have access to showers without having to walk all through the house from the pool. There are side doors to get straight to bathrooms from the outside deck. Note there are many local creatures that like to be in and around the property. We had countless lizards/geckos, cockroaches, ants and cane toads. So be prepared. There is also no dining table inside the house therefore you will either have all meals outside (torrential rain at times) or be half standing/half seated at the kitchen bench. Two of three bedrooms have ensuites which is very handy. However there is no real separation between the toilet and the bedroom (short wall that doesn’t go all the way to the top nor have a door) so that’s not something I am a fan of personally. Tennis court is good fun and Wendy provides lots of rackets and balls. You will need a car to get around.
