If you love nature, this is the place for you. It is a beautiful cabin with a magical swim hole. We enjoyed swimming with the tadpoles and getting to know the friendly frogs. On our second last night, we were visited by fireflies on the verandah - truly felt blessed.

Words truly can’t describe Alan and Susan’s place. It is a place of absolute tranquility and beauty. The house itself is architecturally beautiful with its freshwater pool. The sounds of the rainforest and insects is truly mesmerising. Alan was unbelievably kind and generous with his time and knowledge. The fact they have created the rainforest is a testament to their hard work and sacrifice. This is a once in a lifetime place to stay. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you. We will never forget our stay!

Botanical Ark is an amazing house in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest. It is a wonderful house which was the family home of Alan and Susan that have dedicated their lives to plant and care for this incredible botanical garden with plants from all over the world. Actually, it’s a lifetime work as they transformed a cattle farm into this amazing spot where you fell secluded and totally at peace. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and the varanda is wonderful for outside meals. We stayed 4 nights but I could stay easily a week as the area as so much to do and see. Alan and Susan are kind and helpful to guests and it was definitely a major highlight of our Australian trip. We recommend to do the Mossman Gorge and also the River drift experience with Back Country Bliss Adventures.

This was a retreat, not only a place to lay your head but truly a place of peace, beauty and serenity. Alan and Suzy are beyond good hosts, they feel like old friends. The Botanical Ark is a majestic paradise that we felt honored to visit. From towering palms, magical fruit and a plethora of wildlife this is a place for nature lovers. The house itself is beautiful, very well equipped and comfortable for our family of 5. Alan & Suzi immediately made us feel welcome and were excellent hosts. We were able to unplug and enjoy long evenings together on the veranda. This was a magical experience that our family will forever treasure. Thank you Alan and Suzi for sharing your paradise.
