It's a great stay. The house is on the hill and easy to drive. Kay is a great host, taking care of everything. I have to mention the Internet speed in this house is extremely high. We happily stay here for 5 days, and saw deers passing by the garden! The location is very close to Monterey and Carmel, driving to 17 miles is about 20 minutes. We will come back!!

Kay was a great host. She made check in very flexible. We appreciated this as our arrival time was dependent on our activities that day. She gave us detailed instructions upon arrival and answered our questions about her property. She made sure we were comfortable and made herself available if we needed anything. The guest house was lovely and had all the amenities. Kay had provided more than adequate towels, hand soaps, tissues, toilet paper, dishes and utensils. We were very appreciative as this has not always been the case at other rentals. The outside property was beautiful! We had morning coffee and an evening glass of wine on our private patio surrounded by large oak trees and many varieties of plants. This home was located in a gated community in the hills with lovely views of the surrounding mountains. It was very private and peaceful throughout our stay. It was also close to all the areas we planned on visiting. Highly recommend Kay’s place!

Kay was a great host. It was a little chilly when we were there so a knock at the door from Kay with a blanket. We were spoiled by her place. You did feel right at home. We like birding so Kay made sure there was bird seed in the feeder right outside our window. Many thanks to Kay and her husband for a great stay.

Quail Cottage was clean, tastefully decorated without being cluttered, and had everything we needed to feel at home. The bed was comfortable, the rooms open and spacious, the appliances clean, and the lovely views relaxing. The site was centrally located for our jaunts out to the beach for wedding photos, to the church ceremony, and back to the reception venue. After each hectic activity, it was a blessing to retreat to the hilltop for peace and quiet. We wouldn’t have known the hosts lived on site if we hadn’t contacted them with questions! They respected our privacy while promptly responding to our inquiries. The hosts left tasty treats on our arrival for both dinner and breakfast, so we didn’t have to venture out to the grocery right away! TV and Wi-Fi worked great. Washer and dryer were convenient. We would stay again at the cottage, but when we have more time to explore the area and the grounds. Best wishes to future visitors – you’ll be glad you chose Quail Cottage!
