If you are looking for a convenient location with easy access to the most popular areas of Oaxaca you cannot do better than Miguel’s place. It is right next to outstanding restaurants, coffee shops, art and book stores, and two awesome popsicle and gelato spots. Miguel is responsive and has housecleaning set up DAILY. We locked ourselves out of our bathroom and Miguel immediately responded to our request for help. The house is not large but has a workable kitchen and dining table and bedrooms all have functioning AC and a bathroom attached. Beds are not fancy but arcomfortable. The only true downside to this place is it is loud, like… LOUD. There are two popular karaoke bars next to this house and they are going full force ahead until 1am Wednesday-Sunday. We were active enough and tired enough at the end of the day that we generally acclimated but if you are a light sleeper this may not be the spot for you. That said, the price and location are top notch - decide what you can handle.

Miguels's place was ideal for our needs. We were three couples and the unit has three bedrooms each with their own washroom. It is not super big but there was easily enough room for everyone and it was nice to have everyone in one place as opposed to being in rooms at a hotel. It was also nice to have a kitchen to do some simple meal prep. The location is great as within a few minutes walk there are tons of restaurants and you can walk to the markets quite easily as well. As you are in a central area at night time, it can get a bit noisy from the neighborhood bars until about midnight on the weekend. It didn't bother us but it might some people. Communication with Miguel was super easy and most importantly he answered extremely quickly. A great stay.

As others have mentioned, the location is excellent. We walked to all of the top restaurants and sights in centro. The daily maid service is also a big plus. Kitchen is small but worked for us since we didn't need to cook anything. The master bedroom shower has a rain head with great water pressure. Other bathrooms not as strong in terms of pressure. The living room is smaller than the picture shows. Also, as other reviews have noted, when in the living room the car and motorcycle noise from outside is pretty extreme. Miguel is a fantastic host. He always answered my messages promptly and was helpful to us on a variety of things. We enjoyed staying at Miguel's place.
