We loved the quiet, peaceful location at the Moorings and enjoyed the beautiful view of the harbor. The Topside cottage was perfect for our needs. We liked having the deck to sit outside and enjoy the view. The Moorings is about 30 minutes to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The village of Southwest Harbor has some good restaurants that we enjoyed. The communication with the staff at the Moorings was great. We were very happy with our stay there.

We loved The Moorings! The location on the harbor was stunning! The apartment was so lovely, but realistically, quite rustic. But so in keeping with New England. It is on the second floor as described, but for those of us on the elder side, a bit difficult to manage. Absolutely loved The Moorings and Southwest Harbor

Beautiful convenient location, breathtaking views of working port, gorgeous sunsets, immaculately clean, comfortable king size bed, and very private. Kitchenette is a great amenity but not stocked with anything at all. If intend to cook, must bring all the supplies. We loved our stay, the only negative was extremely thin walls, you could hear other guests not just talking but also moving around, walking, shutting doors etc. Not for light sleepers. Overall we enjoyed The Moorings and would stay there again if provided the chance.

Gorgeous property and views. Very private and peaceful. Nice quiet section of Mt. Desert Island.

Awesome location right on the water. Great place to sit and watch the morning fisherman. Super clean and just liked advertised.
