Excellent place to stay- right in the heart of Newport.

Just came back from a weekend away during the off season at Newport. I did discover that it was restaurant week when I got there! The location was great. It is right at the beginning of Thames so it was an easy walk to all of downtown Newport. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Staff at the front desk as well as the maintenance ace staff were very pleasant (talked with a maintenance man who n the elevator) I would definelty recommend and I would go back!

Overall a solid place to stay in downtown Newport. The rooms are a bit tired and in need of an update but the location is excellent.

Great room and location. However, would only consider booking if four details are fixed/changed during upcoming renovations this month: 1) The shower pressure was ridiculously low. It took an extreme amount of time to wash my hair. When vacationing I don’t want to spend too much time showering, would rather spend that time enjoying Newport. 2) The only room that stays cool is the room with the air-conditioner. The exhaust fan that is supposed to recirculate the AC, was loud and did not do much to circulate to the other rooms. 3) Barely any ventilation in the bathroom. 4) One of the bi-folding doors to the bedroom did not function at all. Seems as if the wheel in the track was broken, preventing it from being able to slide it close. The other bi-folding door worked perfectly fine. Other than those four issues, it was a nice stay and rooms were pleasant. Staff were friendly.
