This home is a Freeport gem, a short drive away from the downtown, but tucked into a pleasant forested area giving a serene and calming atmosphere for your "home away from home". Outside, it's a beautiful home and the unit above the garage is just as lovely. Many windows let in light and you overlook a beautiful backyard of gardens (which you can enjoy!) and trees and some delightful feathered friends. The kitchen has all the needed items to cook a meal and it flows into the thoughtfully appointed living area with a large and comfy leather couch and a large TV. An older wooden chest serves as a coffee table and there were many thoughtful touches for the traveler such as local magazines and books peppered throughout the area. The bed was clean and comfortable, spotless bedding, and the bathroom was large enough for a few people with Jack and Jill sinks. Muriel is a sweetheart and very kind. I had to leave early due to illness, and she was very accommodating and understanding. Thank you!

My husband visit Maine often to see our son, daughter-in-law and grandson. Muriel’s place is the most beautiful place we’ve stayed in. Perfect location, so clean and comfortable. We felt right at home. The apartment is also very spacious. Muriel is a lovely host. It was such a pleasure getting to meet and speak with her, also very accommodating to our needs. Lovely place. We would definitely love to stay again in the future.

This was our first time to Maine and staying at Muriel’s was a great home base with easy access to all the different regions we wanted to hit. The place is very charming and there is a lot attention to detail in the decorating that just makes it downright homey and comfortable. This was our first time staying someplace where the owner was also present. I was hesitant but Muriel is so kind and available if needed yet wasn’t intrusive. We would love to stay here again should we ever get back to the NE.

We just adored staying in this beautiful loft apartment. It had all the amenities that you would ever need, pristine and tranquil. My husband and I will be recommending the spot to our friends and family.
