If you have the chance to book a bungalow here, go ahead and do it, you won't regret it. Matevulu Lodge is an amazing place! Beautiful bungalows just steps away from the water with hammocks, outdoor furniture, very comfy bed, and a very nice bathroom. It's located between 2 incredible blue holes, you can kayak and/or walk there easily. The well-equipped kitchen is a big plus, make sure you shop local fruits at the Luganville market so you can make some smoothies. Gaelle was very friendly and helpful both before arrival and in person, replied all of my questions. She provides snorkeling equipments, SUPs and kayaks free of charge, it's impossible to get bored even if you stay in for a day or two. We would love to return in the future.

Staying at Matevulu Lodge was peaceful and beautiful. Have had the most amazing honeymoon here. Lovely breakfast provided daily, just pop up to the cooking fare when you're ready to eat. Was great being able to cook for ourselves at lunch/dinne4 or get something delivered when we didn't want to cook. The lodges are clean & comfortable. Gaelle is so helpful and nothing is too much trouble, helped with tips and ideas to make the most of our time on the island, organising activities etc. Had the water mamas come and sing/dance at the lodge which was magic. Roads are not great around the island (pot holes) so recommend hiring an SUV or 4WD to get around or use taxis for day trips. Saw turtles, string rays, sooooo many beautiful fish and corals in the bay where the lodges are and off nearby Dany Island. Nearby blue holes are so refreshing. Waking up and walking into the water each day is perfection! Honestly, just book it. This place is heaven on earth!

Absolutely stunning property. The bungalow was fantastic. The surrounding area including the islands and blue holes is out of this world. But better than all of the above was Gaelle. She went above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable stay and nothing was too much trouble.

Incredible location for a relaxing getaway. We had an amazing time at Matevulu lodge. Being able to wake up to the sound of water right outside your door is incredible. Gaelle was very kind to organise transfers and tours with Sleven, who was such a fun guy to be shown about by. The highlight for us at the lodge was definitely having a little turtle pop up in front of us while we were swimming in front of our bungalow. We will be back!
