I was so fortunate to spend time at the Eagles Nest. The apartment is a stunning barn conversion with a wall of windows overlooking the Machias River. Off the balcony you can witness the sun rise, and from the living room watch the sun set over the beautiful town of Machias. The kitchen was generously equipped with everything one needs including cookware and dishes galore. The apartment has beautiful wide pine floors amazingly comfortable beds and a great sectional in which to chill. We were 4 adults and there was no lack of comfort and space through our 5 day stay. There is a supermarket and a Walgreens within a 5 min drive and one of the great restaurants ever- Helen’s- is a stroll away. Ryle and Brecken were so available and always responsive. Without a doubt - this is the best Airbnb experience I have ever been lucky enough to enjoy. Thank you both so much. I am so grateful and I cannot wait to return!

Ryle and Brecken have really done a great job with this spot. The pictures tell the tale of the location but what really shines through is all the attention to detail that they put in. We've stayed at many places that cut so many corners on supplied items but being here was like being at home. Everything needed was provided and that's a first for us since starting to stay at airbnb locations. The view out the back windows was fantastic. We saw seals, egrets, and bald eagles daily. The Sunrise trail is at the edge of the lawn and while we did bring our ATVs to ride, the trail is used more so by walkers etc. so there was no heavy traffic or dust that would distract from the location. In summery, we were looking for a beautiful coastal location that we could also have as a home base to ride... Surf and Turf so to speak... This place was the perfect combination and we would definitely go back!
