The cottage was beautiful, the area was so peaceful and the host (Gwen!) was lovely. It's a good location for people wanting to climb several mountains, like us, with everything within a 45 minute drive. Gwen and her husband were lovely hosts- when our numberplate fell off on our drive to Cadair Idris they were so willing to help us fix it and their kindness meant that we were able to enjoy the rest of our holiday. The cottage itself is beautifully kept, and the table in the garden has beautiful views of Snowdon in the distance. There is also a lovely cafe/restaurant (y Garreg) not too far from the cottage- less than a 10 minute drive.

A cosy, beautiful spot surrounded by nature & sheeps. We felt we were in a small doll house. Perfect to enjoy the sun in the evening or cosy up in the living room with a warm hot chocolate if the weather takes a turn.

Great location if you like to get away from it all, with stunning views. Everything we needed for our break and easy to access mountains, beaches and forests/ trail centres by car.

We had a great holiday ! Lovely picturesque location, great cottage and wonderful hosts! We found it a slight bit stressful to check out by 9am (strip used pillow/bedcovers, empty bins and tidy up - as instructed, especially with a toddler- I understand its part of the covid safety rules ) but that was only a little part of our otherwise week-long perfect stay!!

This is a beautiful place to spend a weekend in Snowdonia. It's a beautiful and cosy cottage, well-equipped with everything you need (pots, pans, cooking basics, etc.). You will definitely need a car (it's up a long driveway), but a walk in to town is possible if you want to stop in to the local pub. The scenery is amazing and you truly feel away from it all. There's a fireplace to spend a cosy evening. It was a good base for a weekend and easy access for a climb on Snowdon. We thankfully bought groceries in a larger town on the drive in, because there isn't much in the way of shops nearby. But once you get there with supplies, this cottage is perfect.
