If you are looking for a cottage in the middle of nowhere, beautiful surroundings and views - then this is the place for you. We had an amazing and relaxing time here, was great to be away from the hustle and bustle of London, breathe some clean air and appreciate the beautiful nature that Wales has to offer. The walk up to the lakes is recommended. We had our 10 & 7 year old and the walk to the lakes was their favourite part. Cottage is about 10-15 mins up a path from the main road, totally worth it for the location. Follow the instructions Emily provides and you won’t go wrong. Emily is a great host and super responsive. The cottage had everything we required for our stay. We’d love to return again at some point.

Views from the property we're amazing, we had some great walks several times straight from the house and didn't see anyone other than lots of sheep! Lovely secluded location but not too far from shops etc if needed. The heating and fireplace warmed up the house without issue and had everything needed in the kitchen for our stay. Would love to return in the summer

Beautiful, remote barn with gorgeous views. Great location, we would love to return in the summer as it is so close to lakes and beaches as well as the snowdonia mountains.

What an amazing place! The location of Emily's cottages is stunning with outstanding views and lovely walks straight from the cottage. You really feel that you are in the middle of nowhere, but nearby Harlech has a great grocers store and coffee shops. It was a convenient base for seeing other parts of Snowdonia. We felt immediately at home in the cottage, which was very well equipped for a self-catering stay. Emily was a great host, quick to respond to queries and gave us a great list of suggestions for local sites/restaurants etc. We would 100% recommend this cottage for those looking for a rural getaway in a stunning location.

We had a great stay at the Old Farmhouse / Hen Ffermd in early September. We were looking for some where remote and relaxed and we couldn’t have found anywhere better. The house is set is a beautiful location with great views all round. Very relaxing with good walks from the house and also nearby. Highly recommended property and host - thank you for a lovely break.
