Our beautiful two bedroom safari tent is located on the edge of a pretty village. A stone's throw from Dartmoor National Park and a 20 min drive to the Coast. We have have two tents set in a 1.5 acre field and we host one through Airbnb . The tents are located approximately 60m apart so there is plenty of space. There are two excellent pubs a short walk away. Dogs welcome for a £10 cleaning charge per dog payable on arrival. The tent has two bedrooms and is equipped with a king size bed and bunk bed. A fold out camp bed or travel cot is available on request. The beds are made up for your arrival with duvets, sheets, warm blankets and pillows. Towels are included. The shower room is ensuite with a flushing loo. There is electric lighting and power points. There are: - Two leather sofas - Dining table - Fridge - Induction hob - Kettle - Toaster - BBQ - Fire Pit - Picnic Table - Crockery - Cutlery - Deck chairs - Hairdryer The field is accessed by narrow country lanes. The village school playing field is next door so you can hear children playing outside of the school holidays. Cars can be parked in the car park/hard standing approximately 40m from the tent. If there is a north wind blowing some road noise can be heard at night. It is a rural area so there will the sounds and sometimes smells of the farm. Church bells can be heard on the hour, Thursday evenings and for Sunday service.

We had a lovely stay in 'Glow worm'. super cosy with the wood burner. Great views from the decking area. Would definitely recommend to our friends and family.

Brilliant host who was very responsive and helpful. Our stay was exactly what we were looking for in regards to a romantic, peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The quality of everything was excellent and the attention to detail was amazing for example, checking in late we were welcomed to the wood burner glowing and the electric blanket toasting the bed beautifully. Overall amazing and would come back in a heart beat.

Alexs place was great fun. We loved using the wood fired hot tub and the fire pit area. There are 2 tents in the field but the way they are positioned means you feel very private. The tent itself was very cosy and had everything you need , including a great shower. The only time it really felt like a tent was at night when the noises of the rural surroundings couldnt be blocked out; church bells, cows shrieking and the hum of traffic from an A road. The weather was sadly not favourable when we stayed at Alexs place which spoilt our trip but we still had a lovely time in the tent. Alex is gorgeous and so helpful. Her little shop on site saved the day as my neice came unprepared for her period starting. We were so relieved to find sanitary provisions in the shop...Alex saved the day. So thankful.

Lovely stay at a nice clean and fun glamping site. Hot tub took some getting used to but otherwise perfect stay.

There is no public transport from the village. The train station at Ivybridge is approximately 5 miles away. There is a bus that runs between Plymouth and Totnes which can be caught from Bittaford approximately 0.5 miles away.
