Cedar Cabin is a rustic but clean, comfortable refuge surrounded by peaceful nature, within a 30-60 minute drive of several National Scenic Rivers and Ozark attractions like trails, springs and old mills. Just a short walk across the retreat center campus is an outdoor dining patio area where there is wifi and a beautiful view of 3 acre Lake Ananda Kanan. The Lake itself has a trail around it, a canoe, and a dock for swimming or fishing. The cabin contains a fully stocked kitchen for meal preparation, and there are two smaller rooms, one for shower and the other with lavatory and toilet. The main space has a queen bed, a dining table and a sitting area with chair and sofa. Air conditioning and baseboard heaters provide all season climate control.

We loved our stay at the Cabin ! Michael is a welcoming and accommodating host , the cabin was so cozy and has everything you need. The cabin is quiet, private and surrounded by nature, it was so refreshing! We were also impressed by the little shower has amazing water pressure !! bed very comfortable too. we highly reccomend it and would love to return some day !!
Exactly what I needed.
I actually provided all the nasty pictures of the 1/2 inch dust on the fans to the bedding being filthy and the floors being filthy with hole bore through the walls from some rodent to the outside . The place was awful I wasn’t even given a key. I arrive there late at night way back in the woods Michael came to the cabin to help me get in but the door was opened so not sure why he came. Because he didn’t give me a key. I was so tired from moving for several days I smelled it the moment I walked in but I couldn’t bring myself to drive about 30 miles out of the woods to try and find something else that would be another hour away. Anyway I was all bit up by something all night long when the day broke I grabbed my things and ran! I told air bnb and they were supposed to refund me but have not yet and it’s been awhile . I may stop using air bnb over this situation.
Beautiful location, area. Did lots of hiking. Immersed in nature. Cabin was cozy and comfortable. Michael was very accommodating and responsive. Will return.
always amazing! Michael is an awesome host and the property is beautiful and I've only had good experiences meeting everybody on site. a secret treasure!

Nearby are lots of things to do and see. The National Scenic Rivers are a half hour away. There are several good coffee places in West Plains, a 20 min. drive. Viandel Winery is a 20 min. drive away. We are located in the middle of four different river systems, with opportunities for swimming, floating and historical tours. A short walk from the cabin is the retreat center dining hall, the upstairs of which contains an art gallery featuring the work of the host Michael McClure, a professional artist.
The cabin is located next to a large free parking lot. The lake is a short walk from the cabin. In front of the dining hall is an outdoor patio with tables and chairs and a view of the lake.
