Julia was really good about communicating with us. I'm going to share the information that I wish was available when we were deciding where to stay. Maybe it can help others make their decision as well. The good: Julia responds in a timely manner. Clean towels Location relatively near Metro stations Breakfast in fridge of eggs, bagels, and cream cheese Fresh flowers from yard Twin beds for kids Not so good: Master shower was dirty. Hair from previous tenant and black residue in corners. Normally I wouldn't care so much, but for $100 cleaning fee, this is not okay. Lack of privacy. The double doors are locked, but sheer curtains over the glass doors allows anyone to see in or out with certain lighting. Loud upstairs. You can hear all movement above you. If someone is running around at 2:00 a.m., you will wake up. Also, you will hear snoring directly over the master all night. Overall, good option.

We had a pleasant stay, the place is comfortable and well located, just a 15 mins drive to downtown DC.

Julia and Marco were great! The apartment was just like in the pictures. The access to the apartment could’ve been better, since it’s through the yard. It was raining when we got there and the apartment got messy due to the mud we brought in as we unloaded the car. Overall great location, the neighborhood is quiet and nice. It’s very close to the National mall area (approx $20 for Uber).

The co-host Marco was very friendly and responsive anytime I reached out. The entrance to the apartment was not safe and a bit messy. There was a strong pet odor, pet hair on the couch and in the master bedroom ,the master bedroom is located as you enter the apartment. I didn't care for that. The heat was not that great through out the night. Not a place I would want to come back too.

Julia and Marco are great hosts and they did a great job with responding to requests. On rainy days there was a distinct wet dog odor other than that place was very well appointed. Airbnb on the other hand is run by a bunch of crooks they double billed me for my last place I stayed in refused to refund my double payments. Additionally their customer service is a joke. Non native Americans running the call center (I.e., Indian Call center)made no attempt to understand billing situations and made no effort to even revise an invoice so it could be paid with two credit cards. So FU Airbnb - here’s to you going out of business
