Our stay at Mandaljena‘a villa was lovely the surrounding are beautiful with wild fruits growing everywhere and overlooking the most quaint little harbour which is still used by locals for fishing and small pleasure boats for trips. There are steps (plenty of steps) which could seem a little daunting but you do get used to them and they work a treat on firming up the booty (holiday bonus) The Villa and pool is stunning and offers everything you need and if there is anything else you need you only have to message Mandaljena who is the perfect host and will go out of her way to help from BBQ’s to delicious homemade cake treats Croatian people are generally the most helpful and friendly you could meet and the love and pride they have of their stunning country is infectious, you can’t help fall in love; which is why once you have visited you always come back September was a good time to visit as it’s still great weather but a little less crowded Thank you for a lovely holiday x

Mandaljena was a great host, Very friendly, her English is very good therefore no language barrier. Mandaljena made us a lovely Tiramisu and gave us some of her Olive oil as a gift when we left. The house was immaculate, and well furnished, but split on two levels, living area next to pool and bedrooms up two levels, accessible from external steps only. As the description say you have to be fit enough to climb the first 116 steps to reach the Pool deck. There is hand soap, shower gel toilet paper and cleaning products provided. The view is second to none and the small Pier and Bay were nice to swim in. The Pier area is very popular with locals and can be problematic to get along the road and also to park. There is a parking bay allocated but sometime people do park in it. Unlike the UK most are polite and move out of the space when you explain it has been allotted to be your space. Trsteno is a good place to base yourself easy to get to Dubrovnik and Split. I can Recommend this Villa.

Mandaljena’s and Ivo were amazing hosts. The location was stunning, views spectacular. Steps down to the sea/small harbour where you can swim and jump into the sea. You can pick up a boat from here over to Lopud Island which the host can organise. You get used to the steps going up to the house but do not go here if you have mobility issues. Can arrange for an Uber at bottom of steps to Dubrovinik for around 30 euros and then get taxi to drop at top by bus stop and walk down to the house which is about 10 min walk, again wasn’t an issue for us. There is a supermarket about 15 min walk to the left of the bus stop along the road, visited there everyday to pick up fresh bread/croissants. The beds are very comfortable and bedding good quality which was so nice. It was my daughters 21st while we were there and Mandaljena made a beautiful cake which was so lovely. Hosts were such kind people, nothing was too much . It is remote but beautiful, would love to return!

It was the most wonderful stay and a beautiful setting and villa . Our family had a great time and Mandaljena and Pepe are great hosts . We had a beautiful traditional meal cooked by Mandaljena - which was a high light of the trip . If your looking for a beautiful place to stay in a lovely villa - this is a great find . Thank you for everything including sending our sons beloved bear we left behind to the Uk . Best wishes the Jolliff’s
