Our expectations were exceeded! The home was beautiful and fit 3 adult couples + two kids perfectly. We each had our own bedroom, our own bathroom, heck, our own floor to ourselves! The space at the top of the turret was perfect for meditation and yoga and the gardens around the house were amazing. The decor of the house was so interesting you’d find another treasure at every turn. It was an easy drive to Bar Harbor and a peaceful respite from the crowds at the end of the day. Nicole never bothered us but responded quickly when I had questions. A prefect host. I can’t recommend this house strongly enough! We’ll be back!

High Tower is a fun, unusual house, with bedrooms in an octagonal tower, comfortable public rooms, well equipped kitchen and well laid out grounds. The owners have decorated the house and grounds beautifully and have some very attractive artworks. The setting is private, among the pine trees and all nearby attractions and activities are easily accessible. The house was immaculately clean and fresh feeling - clearly it is lovingly maintained. It was a great pleasure to stay there.

Very interesting place - full of art and unique elements. We loved how quiet it was and how close the location was to nearby hiking, etc.

All in all very good. The bedrooms were very nice and it had considerable common space to have gatherings around the table;By a pool; On a picnic table; in the living room( and on a rooftop deck, which is good for drinks at night. The house was well outfitted, and I would say better for adults than for kids. But our little kids did fine. It was easier after they went to bed at seven. Location is very convenient for much of mt Desert. The pool was nice to have. But I think I wish we had called ahead of time to have turned up the heat as it took several days to warm up to a good temperature. The kitchen was small, but very well fitted out. We made considerable use of the washer, dryer and dishwasher It is a great place. We enjoyed hearing about its history.
