A beautiful little place situated on a small farm surrounded by stunning fields. It's the perfect city escape, Hugo and Nicola were ideal hosts, very communicative and friendly with great taste, their annex is very stylish and extremely comfortable. The apartment has everything one needs and more - all the mod cons, an awesome vinyl collection, sauna, boardgames, backgammon and log burner. We also loved their attention to detail, water and glasses by the bed, scented candles, diffusers and all the bathroom necessities. We also loved how there were endless hike options on your doorstep, we would go on a 15km hike and then stumble inside and light a cosy fire! It was dreamy. We would come back in a heartbeat, it really is a hidden gem.

Just returned from a long weekend at Hugo and Nicola’s, and it was the perfect trip. We spent our first afternoon exploring their picturesque grounds and in the evening, we enjoyed a meal made my Hugo. He left us a venison ragu with fresh pasta which we enjoyed while listening to their extensive record collection. Provided are all the necessary amenities and some lovely extras like the sauna. The bed is huge and very comfortable. We visited several of their recommended walks from the guidebook and went to two of their recommended restaurants - the roast at Three Horshoes Inn is a must. This is the most idyllic spot and Hugo and Nicola are fantastic hosts.

Our stay in this hidden gem was magical. Nikki and Hugo have created a cozy retreat that feels like a home away from home. It was a sanctuary after spending the day exploring the breathtaking trails and waterfalls around the area. It was amazing to unwind by the log burner with the vinyl record playing in the background, and the sauna to warm up and relax was a treat. Hugo’s home-cooked meals are not to be missed (we had the chicken, mushrooms, leeks and tarragon pie) and him and Nikki were absolutely fantastic hosts. The location’s remoteness means you'll need a car, but it’s well worth it for the peace and natural beauty you’re surrounded by. Leaving was tough; this Airbnb isn’t just a place to stay, it’s an experience that captures your heart. We can't wait to return.

We had the best stay with Hugo. His place is in an incredibly beautiful location with easy access to everything you need in the nearby town, plus the numerous great walks and sights locally and across the national park. Hugo is a both a brilliant host and a brilliant chef - he made us one of the best pies we’ve ever tasted. And his music collection is impeccable too! We’d fully recommend staying here and can’t wait to be back.
