A beautiful remote location and the house was even nicer than the photos. Peter was an excellent host and we took advantage of the offer for the caretaker to double up as a cook at no extra charge. Nirmal and his wonderful wife were excellent cooks and the kindest and sweetest people we could have hoped for. Highly recommended.

Peter and Nirmal(the caretaker) ensured that we felt comfortable throughout the whole journey- right from the booking stage till we checked out from the property. Peter has built this property with a lot of love- it shows in the design, furniture pieces and even the cutlery pieces!:) Nestled right on the banks of the Chapora river- this is away from the usual hustle and bustle of the Goan tourist circuit. Come with the right expectations and you will be floored. A must visit experience for all folks who have done the usual things in Goa before.

We, a group of five bosom buddies, stayed in this lovely offbeat place for five days around the last week of December ‘22 and did spend our New Year’s Eve here. The homestay is easy to reach and the roads are good but do get "sunsaan" during late evening hours. The homestay provides car parking. The homestay is exactly as described in the pics. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas were very clean and the swimming pool was in very good condition. The homestay has a nice gazebo where most of our gabfest happened. Network connectivity is good there, if not great. Wifi is available in the homestay. Our caretaker, Nirmal ji, was very hospitable. The food prepared by Nirmal ji was delectable. Getting two-wheelers rented out here might be a bit challenging on your own but Nirmal ji was kind enough to get it sorted for us. And the view you get of the Chapora River from the homestay is gorgeous during sunrise hours. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"Off the hook" is everything it promises and more. Excellent resort with splendid view. Spacious & clean rooms and thoughtfully done up landscaping, swimming pool, sitting spaces and office overlooking the entire premise. The house itself is well equipped and an omnipresent Nirmal (the help) will whip you up with variety of dishes thru the day. Wonderful, absolutely serene, pristine surroundings. Very well trained and courteous staff.... Going extra mile to make u comfortable. It would not be an exaggeration to say that our fondest memories of the trip are contained within the premises admiring the meticulously planned flora and fauna.... short walks/ jogs in and around the place. Mesmerizing sun rise over the river and misty mornings... Lazing around the entire day in the pool, hammock, living room.... There is absolutely no doubt in re-living the similar vacation and stress busting in times to come....

“Off the Hook” is breathtakingly beautiful and a luxurious modern villa tucked away amongst the forests, touching the mighty River Chapora. The villa, with an airy drawing/ dining area, opens to the garden on the ground floor, with 3 well furnished AC bedrooms with attached bathrooms on the first floor, a recreation cum WFH space on the mezzanine floor is just what we wanted!! The villa opens out to a well laid garden area, leading to a private swimming pool with an infinity egde to the river. What is great is that the river can be seen from every room in the villa. The Gazebo area, in the garden, was great for spending time with friends and partying. Nirmal, the caretaker cum cook, serving all meals, both Indian and continental, was the icing on the cake. Any time we come back to Goa, this will always remain our abode of choice.
