We had a great stay in Penrith which is a lovely town itself and a great place to explore the Lakes District. The apartment had everything we needed, including a well stocked kitchen, great shower with plentiful hot water after cold days and a comfy bed. The apartment was light and bright with lovely city and churchyard views as well as towards The Beacon. Darren was warm, friendly and helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we hope to return again soon!

We had a lovely winter get away in Penrith. The apartment was perfect for us, a 10 minute walk from the centre, warm and cosy after a day of cycling. Having the washing machine was a bonus when we came back with wet kit. Will hopefully come back again!

A spacious apartment with absolutely everything you need within a few minutes walk of central penrith and just 15 minutes drive to Ullswater and the rest of the lake district. The apartment was extremely clean and comfortable and kitchen provision first class. Lovely view out over the church and churchyard. Quiet at night but some traffic noise outside but peaceful in the flat. Easy access to a lovely walking route up to The Beacon with views over Penrith. The only false note during my stay was that the WiFi was not available in apartment, which is right at the top of the big stone house. I used the free WiFi available at Penrith library, a few minutes walk away. Darren was an excellent host and gave some helpful tips about the area. The free parking space in a large garage was brilliant as parking is tricky in Penrith. Overall, it was a first class stay.

A light attic appartment, well-appointed and all looks new inside. Good views of the immediate area from the windows. Off-street garage to park our car was a bonus. Note that access to the flat is up an external metal staircase, so not for the less able.
