Villa Willow is a beautiful stand alone cottage with a private side garden, front garden, private deck, parking space, and a shared large garden with 2 cottages. The space has been recently renovated for modern layout, amenities and comfort while keeping the original architectural characters. Top of the line appliances and high end finishes, it was attended with great attention to detail. We stocked up the kitchen and have everything you need to host dinners with loved ones! Under the giant Oak tree, Villa Willow also shares a large long shape garden with 2 other cottages. there are 2 gorgeous tea houses you can use on property. you will see many species of plants - gracious nodding bamboo trees, David Austin English roses, the extremely fragrant Osmanthus, the calla lilies garden, different species of Irises including the tall German bearded Irises, species of California native plants including many cacti/succulents, herb garden with rosemary, French lavender, Italian oregano, climbing pink jasmine ... many fruit trees such as plums, pluot, persimmon, fig, walnut, avocado, apple, orange, lemon... outdoor seating areas where you can enjoy an drink/fun conversation under the trees and dappled sunlight. The entire cottage gets amazing sunlight throughout the day. At the back of the cottage there’s a sunroom with glass windows looking at the lovely garden under the oak tree. Villa Willow is primarily set up for 2 people, if you are a family, a single bed in the sunroom can accommodate another guest. In the living room, the sofa can turn into a queen bed. Do let us know if you need additional bedding for either the queen sofa bed or the single bed in the sunroom. 55” TV with 150+ digital channels, amazon prime video and Netflix. We added an Echo Show 5 into the space to put some smiles on you, you can use it as a clock/alarm; listen to music, weather or traffic report, video calls, watch movie shows and trailers, cook along with step by step recipes, ask her to sing for you, ask silly questions... if you run out of ideas what you want her to do, just say: “Alexa, show me what you can do”. The neighborhood is residential, safe and quite chic; a stroll around the neighborhood appreciating neighbor’s front yards and gardens is always fun. A few blocks away from the Pixar Animation Studio, great restaurants in walking distance, a few minutes drive to the famous Bay Street shopping mall, outlets and movie theaters. 10 minutes drive to downtown Oakland or Berkeley; 5 mins drive from Bay Bridge, San Francisco can be reached as little as 15 minutes. THE KITCHEN / DINING AREA We got everything for you to have romantic dinners and feel at home. The full kitchen is equipped with all new and high end amenities: designer coffee machine, stove and oven, microwave, retro design kettle, toaster, dishwasher. Pots & pans, drinkware, silverware and dinner porcelain in cabinets. THE PRIVATE DECK Step out to the private deck with your own garden. Enjoy a breakfast or afternoon drink here while listening to birds singing. (birds come seasonally) The garden lights are on at dusk. WIFI + WORK SPACE Villa Willow has a small office with a closed door as dedicated work space. It also features 1200 Mbps ultra fast wifi which allows working from home super easy. LAUNDRY Villa Willow is equipped with in-house washer/dryer; we have laundry detergent and iron for you as well. PARKING Safe private parking space on property behind the house by the deck. Please note the driveway is narrow and we only recommend parking here if you have a small car. Otherwise there are plenty of street parking right in front of the house as well. GYM/YOGA ROOM We have a small gym at the back of the house; it has a brand new treadmill and yoga mats & excising balls; a great space to do some cardio, yoga or just sit for some quiet time/meditation. Please note that you are sharing the gym with 2 other guests. HOT TUB There's a hot tub in the Bamboo Spa on property which is share with 2 cottages. It is open 24/7 except time for maintenance. reservation between 6:00-10:00PM is recommended. ROSE GARDENS: There are many beautiful roses throughout the property. For rose lovers, here’s a list of our roses. We try to label the names of the roses if you are curious to learn what they are. Note this list might not be complete as we constantly plant new ones; also not all will be blooming at the time when you arrive as roses normally bloom in flushes, but we should always have some roses blooming from late April through December.
