Well kept and appointed cottage in great location in Bishops Tawton. We stayed for visiting family in the area. Bishops Tawton is a quaint village just outside the north Devon hub of Barnstaple - so well located for all the area has to offer. Great exact location also only 2 minute walk from the lovely Chichester Arms pub. The cottage was spic and span. Had everything you could want/need for a holiday in 3 good sized bedrooms with a bit of character so it feels like a proper holiday house than just somewhere to camp out. Set up well for kids also despite a few level changes, but as a cottage you need to duck a bit if tall. We could park on street opposite (next to sanctuary close) but clearly a bit of luck in that regard. I'd recommend confident drivers and to avoid very large vehicles for the spaces behind up the hill, but otherwise manageable. Some steep steps down from the spaces can be easily avoided by walking round.

Fijn verblijf gehad in de Ranally Cottage! Alles was schoon en netjes bij aankomst. Erg sfeervol en gezellig. Fijne plek om ‘s avonds weer terug te komen. De parkeerplek boven het huis is bij drassigheid en in het donker niet zo handig. Ook voor minder valide mensen en auto’s met lage bumper niet ideaal, maar wij hebben de auto alle dagen gewoon op straat kunnen parkeren. Wij zouden deze cottage zeker aanbevelen. Lange mensen (wij zijn Nederlands) dienen wel op te passen voor de lage plafonds en lage deurposten. Meermaals het hoofd gestoten, maar dat maakte het verblijf niet minder prettig. Bedankt!

A delightful cosy cottage which really felt like home. We loved every minute of our visit. The cottage comfortably accommodates five or six people, and the parking for 2+ cars at the back is a real bonus, as the local streets are very narrow. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely perfect place for our family of 5 to stay. Great central location but at the same time so quiet and peaceful.

We’ll equipped and very clean. Had everything we needed for our short stay away, comfy bed and hosts were very accommodating. Parking space is at the top of a steep drive, I found it ok but might be a bit tricky for a nervous driver, didn’t detract from the place or stay. Would definitely book again. Thanks
