Such a nice house and very attentive hosts. We would stay there again easily and recommend it to others. Perhaps not with young children as the stairs are quite steep and made of stone but other than that it was perfect for our family of 5. We had everything we needed and any questions we had were quickly answered. Muchas gracias!!
Only stayed for two nights. However it was located within walking distance to everything in merida Centro. Found a nice restaurant a few blocks away Nakuru Cocina De La selva maya. Always felt safe walking the streets. The house worked perfectly for us. Definitely fits the category of you can’t judge a book by its cover.
A beautiful casa with high ceilings, lots of light in the kitchen and a very tranquil and relaxing outdoor area. The bedrooms were spacious with good air con and the outdoor bathrooms were novel. I agree that the bed mattresses were hard and pillows lumpy but we all said despite that we slept so well! The kitchen was kitted out with the basic requirements, but we ate out each night. A suggestion would be to provide another 2 comfy outdoor chairs as the sofas were both 2 seaters, useful if there are 6 people. Although the master bedroom ticked a lot of boxes there was no hanging space or should I say a wardrobe but only shelves and no rail or hangers, such an easy thing to provide. All in all you will really like the place and it’s quite central so you can walk or Uber.
This is a beautiful house, walking distance to downtown Merida. We loved the terrace with the pool and trees. The rooms are spacious, perfect for family of 6. It is great they allow pets, our dog was also super happy. The kitchen is perfect, I was super happy to see they provide seasonings, oil, salt which is a hassle to find in small amounts for few days. The only downside for us was the beds with hard mattresses and pillows, and the loud noise in the back rooms. Other than that everything was fantastic and I highly recommend Katia's home. If you rent a car, sometimes it was difficult to find where to park, specially if it is a big car.
