We had a lovely time as a family , our pup was living his best life in the creek and running through the woods. We loved the fact that the grill was on the porch being covered so the rain didn’t affect our eating plans. We were too tired in the evenings to have a bonfire, but that was a lovely set up. The cabin itself was absolutely beautiful and I can’t say enough good things about the screened in porch area. I personally have never stayed anywhere that had a porch that wrapped all the way around the house. That was pretty nifty.! I will always remember the sounds of the rushing Creek and being cozily tucked in on the couch out on the screened in porch. All the thanks to Vickie and her wonderful slice of heaven!

Cozy cabin with great amenities. Beautiful view. We brought our two dogs and let them swim and enjoy sniffing all around the property. surprisingly Wi-Fi was great. We will definitely book here again.

Our stay at Vicky’s cabin was lovely! It was a chilly week but we were able to enjoy the porch (with the tabletop fire pit!) and explore the property. Although we ventured out some - hiked Buffalo Mountain, shopped Mt. Airy - we mostly enjoyed the peacefulness of the cabin. Everything was as advertised and we hope to return soon!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this cabin! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the serene atmosphere and the peacefulness of the surroundings. The cabin itself was immaculate, and the private setting allowed us to fully unwind and relax. The highlight for us was definitely the beautiful river just steps away from the cabin. We spent countless hours on the super large screened-in porch, soaking in the tranquil views and listening to the soothing sounds of the water flowing by. It was the perfect spot for lazy days and quiet evenings. Not only was the cabin a retreat in itself, but its proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the mill, and the charming town of Meadows of Dan made it even more appealing. We enjoyed exploring the area and indulging in the great shops and delicious food nearby. Our stay was so enjoyable that we even decided to extend it by an extra night! Needless to say, we'll definitely be returning to this cabin in the future. Thank you Vicky!

Waking up to peaceful sound of the river, surrounded by nature, and sitting on the screened in porch were the highlights of this trip! It rained most of the time we were there so we didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit but it was a beautiful property and home! Our dogs loved being able to run around and explore. It is definitely a steep driveway even with switchbacks so 4-wheel drive is a must like stated in the check-in instructions. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back.
