Great place to stay to see Ulverston, Sally was very welcoming. The stable is a very cosy place, perfect for a little get away for long walks to see the lakes.
Loved staying at Sally's! Everything was clean, comfortable, and peaceful, and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. Sally and Paul were some of the kindest people I have met and were very available to provide help. The location is quite isolated but there were beautiful walks in every direction. I would definitely stay here again!
We really enjoyed are stay in a very peaceful part of the the lakes. ideal location for exploring the the southwest parts of the Lake district. Excellent location and services in the accomodation
One of the most comprehensively equipped Airbnb properties we have been fortunate enough to find. The space was thoughtfully designed and impeccably presented. Sally's briefing notes made it simple for us to move in and use the facilities. Very comfortable and sparkling clean.
Ulverston is a traditional market town with unique independent shops and high quality restaurants to suit every taste and budget. Set around cobbled streets, the town also hosts regular community festivals throughout the year that highlight local art, food, and the outdoors. For entertainment there is a cinema, theatre together with several local places of interest.
Access to the property is by car, but taxis are available from the railway station in Ulverston that has direct trains to Manchester airport, Lancaster and Carlisle. These rail routes also provide access around the Morecambe bay peninsulas. The property sits 2.5 miles along the Cumbria Way from Ulverston and there are several walking routes from the door. National Cycling route 70 is closeby and the local lanes are very quiet. Local bus services from Ulverston link to Coniston, Windermere and Kendal.
