Set in the picturesque village of Whissendine, only 10 minutes from Rutland Water and the historic town of Oakham. This 3 bedroom bungalow has all the modern home comforts as well as a large, secure garden with table tennis and BBQ. Whissendine has many walking paths and is on the Rutland Round trail as well as cycle routes (routes and maps provided). Parking for 2-3 cars on the drive. The village has its own pub with a magician landlord, serving excellent food as well as a village shop. We offer you a warm, welcoming home. 3 spacious bedrooms with recently renovated bathroom and en suite. The living area is a bright open planned space with a log fire. Two sets of patio doors lead out on to the back garden and patio, which is a great place to relax, eat and drink. The garden is large and secure, surrounding the entire property and has many fruit trees. There are two swings and table tennis (balls and bats provided). Whissendine is ideally situated for walking and cycling (lots of routes & maps available in the house) as well as for visiting local attractions - Rutland Water, the historic town of Oakham, Twinlakes for the children and Belvoir Castle.

Steve was a great host. he was in touch well before our stay to let us know check in arrangements and emergency contact numbers. The space was perfect, just what we needed. We used the bbq and firepit and used the garden furniture which were all in great condition. The house itself was full of interesting art work to look at, aswell as books and games if you should wish to use them. The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we could need. We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone. Thanks so much!

We booked Steve's bungalow as this was in close proximity to friends we were visiting for the weekend. The bungalow was clean and spacious and as described in the photos and information. Communication was excellent & was very easy to find. the bungalow was very comfortable and had everything you would need as a home away from home. we will definately consider booking again next time we are visiting friends. Highly recommend and an added bonus is the property is dog friendly.

Lovely, comfortable and spacious. We made excellent use of the table tennis table and the dogs adored the garden. Very quiet and relaxing while being a handy location. Nice village pub to boot.

Whissendine is a rural village surrounded by quiet lanes for walking and cycling as well as a good selection of footpaths. It is about 5 miles from the historic market town of Oakham (with a castle and museum and twice weekly markets - Wednesdays and Saturdays) and Melton Mowbray (home of the pork pie and stilton cheese with farmers markets weekly). The village has a shop selling a wide range of food and local produce and a pub which offers good food and regular entertainment including magic shows. Nearby are Rutland Water with a range of water sports and an Aqua Park and beach in Summer, Twin Lakes (a funfair for children), Belvoir Castle and the historic town of Stamford.
