This beautiful A frame log cabin, situated on and overlooking Rutland Water this cabin is within the grounds of the newly renovated Rutland Hall Hotel and Spa, swimming pool, spa, gym, tennis, snooker, c-golf are free of charge for 4 guests. Squash, hair dressing, massage, and restaurant are charged a relevant fee. There are good restaurants on site and in the surrounding area. Burghley Horse Trials are on from the 5th-8th Sept. On the shores of Rutland Water, the largest man-made lake in Europe. A 10 percent cost reduction is available,

Beautiful place, responsive and flexible host, what else can you ask for 5/5
The log cabin was a relaxing retreat and well away from the main hotel complex. It offers great views of the sunset overlooking Rutland water. The kitchen is very well equipped and looks to have been recently modernised. We really enjoyed the access to the indoor pool, gym and had fun playing some rather competitive games of crazy golf on site. The hotel offers free wi-fi but we found it didn't cover the area where the log cabin is situated. Oakham and Stamford are very picturesque and nearby, along with Barnsdale Gardens, created by Geoff Hamilton for BBC Gardeners' World is only a 5 minute drive away and well worth a visit.
A wonderful waterside Lodge with good equipment for self catering . Comfortable seating but bed not so . The stay was a great escape in these challenging times

The range of activities on offer at Barnsdale is endless but here are a few to get you started. These are all available within a short drive. They include a range of golf courses, sailing, rock-climbing, fly-fishing, falconry, bird-watching, superb shopping, restaurants, sight-seeing, windsurfing, dry slope skiing, horse riding, arranged trips and more. There is also a nature reserve and bird sanctuary and water park, as well as miles of traffic free cycle-ways at Rutland Water. Cycles are available for hire from Rutland Cycles nearby,
There is a complete set of Public Footpaths and walks around Rutland Water to suit all abilities and mobility.
