Mike’s place was wonderful. The view is absolutely amazing. His kitchen has all high end appliances, pans and knives. So it was a pleasure to cook in a real chef’s kitchen on a daily basis. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool with our family and we even made pizzas in the pizza oven. Mike was very responsive and available when we needed him. We also hired Evelia, the housekeeper that came 3 times a week and this really made it feel like a vacation. We loved this place and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This property deserves a round of applause and standing ovation for the location, view, modern design and amenities. The pictures do not do it justice - you have panoramic views of the San Elijo Lagoon and Cardiff beach. Our experience started with a warm welcome from Michael and Sarah. They gave us a tour of the home, and even gave us the famous Cardiff Tri Tip steak to grill. The tour left my wife and I speechless and excited for our stay. The interior is modern with a masculine twist. The floor is made up of sparkling clean tiled squares reflecting the custom lighting and modern chandelier. The home is powered by a smart home HQ with remotes where you can control every feature: climate, custom black out shades on every window, music, the pool/hot tub etc. There is a small oasis in the garden, with fruit trees and vegetables growing. There are even 3 friendly chickens that provided daily fresh eggs! There is a wonderful woman, Avalia, who cleans and takes care of the house 3x a week. She is absolutely amazing - very kind and friendly. The four of us - my wife and I and our two lucky cats - enjoyed the sunlight shining in the home each day. It truly elevated our experience in Cardiff. 11/10. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxury home with modern amenities and a kind hospitable host.

Michael’s home was clean and had everything we needed. The views were wonderful and everything was convenient!!! Michael was available any time we contacted him. There were windows everywhere to wake up and view the ocean and sunshine.

My husband, daughter, grandson and I ( and two small dogs) had a lovely time in Michael’s home. Location could not be beat. Loved the view, sea breeze, heated pool and spa and lovely amenities. Beds were comfortable, showers luxurious, kitchen well stocked with more than usual small appliances (air fryer for example), plenty of games and puzzles to play, a giant TV in the living room, well equipped gym and several bikes ( regular and electric) for those who bike. Walked to a nearby park, The Seaside Market ( which has everything) hiked around the Lagoon and, of course the beach. Since we live in the desert, this was an excellent getaway for us. We were offered a housekeep for 3 times a week which I loved. A fun added bonus was the garden and 3 chickens that we opted to caretaker…you are not obliged, but my daughter and I ( city girls) had fun letting them out of their hen house each morning, feeding/watering them and putting them to “bed” each evening after collecting 3 fresh eggs daily. Michael was a very responsive and helpful host. A good time was had by all!

Five stars for the stunning location, gorgeous home, and top notch hospitality! My wife and I spent a month here with our three kids for a summer vacation / remote work holiday. If you could drop on the pin on the absolute best location in North County San Diego this is where you'd land! The home overlooks the San Elijo lagoon to the South and Cardiff beach to the West and is a short walk to Cardiff Market, VG donuts, restaurants, the beach, and miles of gorgeous walking paths. The home is beautifully designed to maximize the views and create indoor/outdoor living with sliding glass walls that bring the fresh ocean air inside. The home is filled with high end amenities including top of the line appliances and a full home automation system for lighting/music/blinds which is easy to use. It's an extremely nice home yet feels very comfortable and livable. The pool, hot tub and wood burning pizza oven made for memorable family time on the back deck. And the garden and chickens were a hit with our three kids who raced to the backyard daily to collect fresh eggs and produce for breakfast. Michael was an incredibly gracious host who went out of his way to make our family getaway a memorable experience. He taught us how to use all the tech, made great restaurant recommendations (loved the Cardiff Crack from Cardiff Market and Seaside Grill) and even offered to arrange a local pizza chef to cook wood fired pizzas for our daughter's birthday. He added touches including fresh produce, welcome snacks, bath salts, access to bikes etc that only the very best AirBnb hosts do. We've stayed in many wonderful AirBnbs over the years. This one ranks right up there at the top of the list of all-time best AirBnbs and experiences. Many thanks to Mike and Sarah - we hope to return soon!
