It is a 2750 sq m property with around 100 coconut trees. There is water on three sides of the property and wild otters seen in the water sometimes. It is safe to go Kayaking in the water as it is not deep and rough. It is a single room with attached bathroom. It has an AC, double bed and sofa. There is a balcony to sit out and see an open landscape with lots of Birds around. Two seater Kayak is included in the rate for the space.

The cottage is dreamy, right next to the river, surrounded by birds and mangroves. It’s worth multiple stays, and truly feels like a spot amidst the quiet luxury of nature.
Sir your place was just wonderful. I didn't wanted to leave the place and it was just so mesmerising and private space. Mr. Joseph's hospitality was amazing. I will definitely be booking the stay for the future. If you are a nature lover this is the perfect place and the village is quiet and peaceful too.
Beautiful place, with a breathtaking view. If you are looking for a per friendly place , something away from the bustling tourist places, this is the spot for you. Enjoy the serene lake view, if you are lucky; you fill find baby otters swimming across the shore from you. We were fortunate to find them, as well as peacocks, parrots and other exotic birds. Jo, a thorough gentleman, gave us the best recommendations, was extremely prompt and hospitable.
This property is mesmerizing, almost like having a private island of your own. A blissful stay. Joseph is a great host. 😊 PS. - Don't miss taking the kayak in the lake and going for a swim.

It is a village setup. There is an old jetty around 1 km away from the house. It is very scenic. A trip to the hills is also nice as it gives you a nice view from the Statue of Christ the King at the top of the hill. Mayem lake is around 10 kms from the house and one can go boating in the lake or bungee jumping. Salim Ali Bird sanctuary is the best attraction and the boat ride in river and walking through the mangroves is special. The bird sanctuary is located at the Madel ferry crossing to Ribander and is around 6 kms from the cottage.
Personal transport is a must to get to the house and also to move around in the village unless one wants to trek 6 kms from the Ribander ferry point and 3 kms from the Pomburpa ferry point. Chorao is an island which has the Saleem Ali Bird Sanctuary which one should visit. Boat ride to the back waters recommended.
