The Buffalo National River is located within 10 miles and there are many canoe rental/shuttles in the area. Gilbert is a quaint little town right on the Buffalo and is only 15 miles from the house. Photographers can't get enough of the Smith Barn that's right outside of town and home to a heard of elk at certain times of the year. Falling Water Falls is beautiful and refreshing and makes a great road trip through Richland Valley off Point Peter Mountain.
