This was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. The house is not at all as presented and there are so many things wrong with it which the hosts actually acknowledged but have not bothered to fix. When we arrived the house was dirty. The living room couch and carpet were covered in food, hair, and dirt. The countertops had sticky stains from food and liquids. There are 5 large broken windows with huge cracks that let in cold air, so several rooms are very cold despite the heat being on. The other rooms are too hot because they are trying to compensate for the rooms with cracked windows. The kitchen was a disaster. Cabinets are broken, missing handles, and empty, in many cases with mold inside. The second freezer is also full of mold. There was no olive oil, paper towels, or tissues. Someone did bring those the next day but that’s not helpful when you’re trying to cook dinner and discover you don’t have those things. Very basic kitchen items are missing, making cooking very difficult. Plates, pots and cutlery were filthy and sticky and covered in food. The dishwasher is broken and full of rust and doesn’t actually wash anything (hence the dirty dishes with stuck on food). Thought advertised as coming with firewood, there was enough for only one hour. Then we had to go out and buy our own. In the primary bedroom, the door to the bathroom is broken and doesn’t close even an inch. The shower doesn’t drain. There also is no window covering for the floor to ceiling large window, so when the sun comes up, you are up too. The hot tub - we paid an extra $250 and it was disgusting. The water was filthy and smelled like a dead animal.

We stayed in the house for 4 days in February. The house itself is wonderful, spacious, well equipped and the back yard lake view is amazing. We are already planning to return in the summer to use the kayak and boat in the back! The hot tub is amazing too!

The house and the property were beautiful! So spacious and cozy! The kids went sledding in the yard. They had such a wonderful time! Went skiiing about 50 min away. Was a great family weekend! Thank you!

The house was absolutely spectacular! The view majestic and home warm, comfortable, and spacious. Would absolutely stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at JD’s and Michelle’s home. We traveled with my kids. And the home had enough activities to keep the kids happy and occupied. Snow tubing in the backyard. The game room. Board games around the fireplace. The hot tub! We enjoyed it all! We can not wait to go back during the summer so we can enjoy the beautiful home and the beautiful lake! Thank you for opening up your home to my family.
