Fabulous property with everything you could need. Beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. The grounds on which the house sits are spectacular - beautifully manicured English country Garden which backs on fields - doggy and human heaven! Plenty of very local pubs and restaurants within driving distance and only 15 minutes from the Forest of Dean.

Had the loveliest stay at Wharton Lodge Cottages. Wonderful location, beautiful room and garden, and gracious hosts. Nicky and George were a delight to talk to and amazingly helpful with recommendations, directions, and reservations. They also had three lovely dogs for us to play with, which was a treat as we’ve missed our pups while on vacation. Hope to be back soon.

Nicky and George are the perfect hosts. The welcome breakfast pack and bottle of wine made for a lovely start to our stay. The on site laundry facilities are immaculate. Beds and pillows amazingly comfortable, and the cottage was cosy and warm. We had such a lovely time we are on our way to have another couple of days at Wharton Lodge Cottages!

We stayed at the Harewood Cottage in this beautiful property for one week and had the best stay ever. Everything went seamlessly from check-in to check-out. The communication from Nicky since we made the booking (in May) until our stay in July was smooth. Two things that we really appreciated with this stay was 1) A digital guidebook with information about the property and the area that we received from Nicky before our arrival 2) The lovely breakfast/ welcome hamper that was arranged for us in the cottage. We checked in pretty late and it was quite nice to have eggs, milk, bread, muesli etc., available for breakfast. The sheer warmth and hospitality that we received from Nicky and George is worth mentioning. It added that extra touch which makes any trip from just LOVELY to absolutely BRILLIANT. We very much appreciated all the tips that we received from them for dog walks, restaurants, best bakeries, butchers and just general information for the area. The cottage is beautiful, lovingly maintained and every detail has been thought through. The gardens and orangery is inviting and worth spending some relaxing afternoons and evenings in. Our dog- Digger had the best time ever, running around in the fields with Nicky & George’s dogs - Breeze, Bo & Tilly. We will definitely be back as we feel that we have found our home away from home in the beautiful Cotswolds. Thank you indeed for an amazing stay!
