I slept like a baby in Ardissa’s beautiful little quiet, cozy retreat. Just up the road is a semi private beach that might just be one of the prettiest on the island. Thank you Ardissa!

Ardissa and her son Alex were warm and welcoming, and helpful with suggestions of things to do in the area. Ardissa is a reflexologist and masseuse and was able to give me a relaxing head & shoulder treatment during my stay. The cottage is rustic, cozy, quiet, and a great beach is within walking distance. I was apprehensive about sharing living space with the hosts but it was totally fine! In fact, Alex and Ardissa gave me full reign of the living room to binge watch Netflix in the evening while they each retreated to the privacy of their own rooms. There is a mini-fridge in the bedroom and instant coffee and milk was offered in the kitchen, but if you want ground coffee or a specific type of tea, BYO. They have a gorgeous cat named Suki and I am generally allergic to cats but had no issues with Suki. She doesn't come in the guest bedroom and they keep her off the furniture. Very friendly and hospitable hosts, and I felt very safe with them. Would highly recommend!

Ardissa provides a very nice room in a peaceful and quiet setting where we could hear the night forest creatures with our open windows. Close drive to the water where we watched the sunset as recommended. The bathroom is a little tight for someone who has accessibility issues like myself. Otherwise, a quaint place with friendly people for a nice stay while visiting the island. A very kind host.

Ardissa and her son are wonderful hosts, very friendly and communicative. Mostly we loved the place and the room was decorated aesthetically giving positive vibes … Near to Kagawong town… The surroundings are super peaceful and we had a good night sleep during our stay. We did spot deers on our way to the home which was really exciting for us. Would recommend this place for their hospitality and if you are looking to escape into the nature and have a peaceful vacation in Manitoulin Island. Thank you Ardissa..

I stayed at Ardissas place for 3 nights. She and her son and the cat welcomed me warmly! I enjoyed my stay very much and also loved Manitoulin Island in general. Very quiet and peaceful even though I was there in tourist prime time. Would recommend to anyone that looks for an escape from busy everyday life.
