We had a lovely time staying at Alexandra’s cottage. Very warm and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen and an exceptionally clean modern bathroom. Bathhouse products were provided which I love and plenty of super fluffy towels. The bed was really comfortable with even a dog friendly throw for our dog Polly. Very nice lounge with a two seater sofa and matching chair, and again a throw provided for Polly so she could snuggle up. A lovely sized log burner which we had on every evening so we were all very toasty and cosy. Alexandra is the perfect host and even baked us a cake for when we arrived, such a lovely surprise. We would definitely love to go back and fell in love with the Western Dales. Thank you Alexandra from Juliet, Steve and Polly.

Me & my partner had a wonderful time staying at Bluebell cottage. A lovely cosy place for some R&R. Alexandra was extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we need, going above and beyond with providing details of a variety of walks within the area within the guest book, which were perfect for strolls with our dog. Her orange cake in the kitchen on arrival was a lovely touch, very yummy and much appreciated. Thank you!

The perfect retreat for a few days' rest. The Howgills themselves form the magnificent backdrop to the cottage, with lovely walks from the front door. The cottage has everything you need and is very cosy and comfortable. I enjoyed my few days soent there together with my dog. The cake on arrival was a nice touch and much apprecitated. Would fully recommend this cottage.

My husband and I had a great two-week stay here with our 8-month-old and Golden Retriever. The cottage is completely gorgeous, very sympathetically restored and in the most idyllic location with myriad walks from the doorstep as well as being perfectly located for both the Lake District and the Dales. All four of us were made to feel very welcome and Alexandra was extremely helpful with the few queries that we had whilst there. There is a very well-thought out ‘guide book’ at the cottage, full of information and ideas for adventures in the local area. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. The stream running through the property, alongside bird song, provides a lovely background soundscape. A point to note if you have a dog is that the garden is enclosed by a low stone wall bordering the road on the one side and a steep drop down to the stream on the other side. This meant that our girl had to be on lead when in the garden. Thanks again, Alexandra!

We had a lovely stay at a cosy Bluebell cottage. Alexandra is such a thoughtful host who really wants to make her guests feel comfortable and enjoy their time in the area. The little cottage has a modern design and is very comfortable. There is a very extensive manual detailing local walks (with some take away copies), places to visit and things to see. Clearly a lot of thought and effort has been put into it. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The views are stunning and for the lovers of nature and hiking it is a great place. Would certainly recommend.
