Within five minutes of leaving your front door you’ll come across The Great Theater of Havana, The Paseo del Prado, Central Park, and The Capitol Building. Enjoy a meal at La Bodeguita del Medio – a popular bar serving authentic criollo cuisine—or skip the tourists and try an affordable Cuban breakfast prepared by your host.

Once you're ready to branch out to the other parts of Havana, public transportation is the easiest way to get around this city. Vintage taxis are a simple and affordable option and you can hail a cab (either private or shared with locals) just a couple blocks from your front door. Feeling adventurous? For a couple cents you can squeeze onto a public bus packed to the brim with locals which will take you to almost any area in Havana that you can imagine. Or, pick out your favorite 1960's convertible and spend the day riding along the malecón in style with a private local guide.
