Our first night went fine at this property. Good central location but noisy on the weekend which interrupted our sleep. We were not aware of the spiral stairwell leading up to the flat and because the lights were out on the second floor it was a bit hazardous with our elderly parents being there. The apartment was adequately clean but a bit run down with marks on the wall and a broken headboard in one room. Needs a bit more upkeep. During our stay, the power went out in the apartment. We reported this at around 11am and were told an electrician would come round. Whilst we were out, we received a call telling us we had to be in the apartment for them to come round and fix the power when we had already told them we would be out all day and back late. We returned at around 8pm with a message from the host telling us the power was out which we had already reported hours earlier. There was no attempt to give us a solution and we had to call the office where we were told we would be called back and weren’t. Ultimately, a lot of inconvenience and chasing them up until we were told that nothing could be done and we would have to stay the night without power. We even had the neighbours round trying to help us fix the power! They were very lovely and offered more help than the host. We had to relocate to a travelodge in the end because we were given no alternative option. They have agreed to refund us for this night but have not compensated us for the inconvenience of us cutting our day trip short and having a stressful evening after a long day.
