This was our last stay before leaving to go back to Australia. It was perfect. The views from the windows are sensational. Each evening watching the sheep was highly entertaining. It was so peaceful.

Had the most restful time, at real peace, felt cozy and warm with the woodburner on every eveing, enjoyed the best Victoria sponge cake on arrival. Really didn't want to leave.

We absolutely loved the cottage, the area; the peace and quiet. The accommodation was very clean, comfy, we much appreciated the cake that was waiting for us in the kitchen when we arrived. The check-in and check-out was very smooth. The place exceeded our expectations, it felt really cosy & private. We could not recommend it enough.

Alex's place is so welcoming and the views magnificent, it was lovely to wake up to the ever-changing cloudscape and watch the sheep amble across the fields or pheasants walk along the tops of the stone walls adjacent to the accommodation. We enjoyed hanging out at there as much as exploring the nearby scenery and villages. Plenty of great walks nearby to keep us occupied over the week. Whilst this was intended as a bit of a get away, the internet was great and easy to connect to and I was able to continue to work and link into Zoom meetings whilst there. Plenty of kitchen equipment to create an evening meal or even to whip up a cake or two while there. There was so much to see in the area that we'll be back again and Alex's place will be our first option for accommodation.
