Excellent place to stay for ashburton or Dartmoor. Exceeded expectations with welcome and generosity.
If I have 10 stars out of 5, I would give it. Communication was smooth and prompt. Cliff and Jackie's place is very cozy from the start, a very beautiful home. I arrived quite late in the evening, so I was glad to find bread, fruit, chocolate, and other provisions for breakfast courtesy of them. Everything was squeaky clean and comfortable, the kitchen is new and has everything you need. Cliff does pottery and the cupboard is well-stocked with his creations, I look forward to have tea/coffee everyday just to give me a reason to use the mugs and plates. I even got to do pottery lesson while staying here, which was very very fun. A home like Cliff and Jackie's is the reason why I prefer Airbnb over hotels, the hospitality and warmth makes the stay memorable and maybe the most comfortable Airbnb I've ever stayed at. Very highly recommended to stay here, whether as a base to explore Dartmoor or if you're going to Ashburton Cookery School (which I did).
Gorgeous rustic - style room with en suite close to the Chef's Academy - unfortunately my stay was cut short due to the Covid-19 situation however, Cliff and Jackie were very accommodating and i'll be able to come back and stay for the remainder of my trip when the Chef School re-opens! Cliff also has an awesome little pottery making facility! For the budding artists out there - a great place to go get your hands dirty! :) Looking forward to coming back!
The breakfast was fine, the shower superb, the bed comfy, excellent TV and a very quiet, cosy room with plenty of character. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Thanks to their input we really enjoyed Dartmoor and the surrounding area and very much appreciated the tip about a pub for lunch at Widecombe.
Great place to stay - our room had everything we needed. The breakfast provided was a thoughtful touch.
