I can’t say enough great things about our stay. The cottage had everything we could possibly need or want as well as a great ambiance. We loved sitting on the patio with a wood fire in the evening and trying our hand at fishing on the property as well as on the many local locations. Our day hiking at Ricketts Glen was amazing and so nice to go back to a lovely place to relax. Our hosts were great communicators and couldn’t have asked for anything better.

This is such a charming (and clean!) cottage in a beautiful setting. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure my family and I enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the hospitality we received!

It is a pretty little cottage and very clean, but disappointed that it did not match the description as advertised. Advertised as 3 bathrooms, but one is an outdoor bathroom not available during the low season. We specifically chose this listing because it was supposed to have 3 bathrooms, as one of our children has special needs and basically needs their own bathroom to administer meds & healthcare materials. If the summertime outhouse can be advertised as a bathroom maybe they could hang a hammock in the trees and call it a 4th bedroom. The online photos make it look private, but this "waterfront" property is actually several yards away from a cluster of other cabins that basically block any view of the water. Also, most people living in 2024 would like to know if their cell phones will have coverage while on vacation. The Dam Cottage only has coverage from about half the current cell providers and no one warns you that you may be isolated. Sorry I get hung up on such things.

Lovely home. The description and reviews are exactly what we experienced and host was always responsive and helpful. We came to hike at Ricketts Glen State Park which was about 14 miles from the home. It was perfect for us to have a place nearby the park and to come back to after a full day of hiking. And host provides everything needed for a simple but yummy breakfast.
