What a wonderful stay! Jill and Charles were lovely hosts and made us feel right at home. The bed and room were so comfortable. We had all we needed in terms of amenities in the bathroom. Additionally, each morning waking up to a fresh cup of coffee, yummy orange juice, a three-course breakfast (where you never have to decide between savory and sweet), and friendly conversation was the ultimate vacation perk. I have been bragging about it to all my friends and family. Will stay with them again when on the island.

Lovely couple that clearly love what they do. The trip out to the island was for rest and relaxation and was such a perfect little place to hit reset. Thankful for such a great experience

Jill & Charles are thoughtful and wonderful hosts. They made an AMAZING breakfast every morning, the rooms and shared spaces are so comfortable, and the setting is really peaceful and beautiful. The location is great - just a couple of minutes from all the restaurants and shops in Eastsound and walkable to the north beach. We would highly recommend staying at the Kangaroo House.

The Kangaroo House was such a beautiful place to stay on Orcas Island. Our only regret is that we didn’t have time for a longer stay. The room and historic house were clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The gardens were spectacular, and the gourmet breakfast crafted and served by Jill and Charles was…AMAZING! On top of everything, we had a delightful after-breakfast conversation with Jill and Charles, and left feeling like we were old friends. The Kangaroo House is an Orcas Island gem.

We really loved staying at the kangaroo house and look forward to coming again. Jill and Charles are gems who have kept their property in amazing shape. There are only 3 things I didn't expect after looking through all the other reviews and description - 1. There are time slots to reserve the hot tub for your party each day. That way, it's actually private!! 2. The walls are paper thin. I should've anticipated this considering how old of a building it was, but I definitely wasn't expecting to feel like others knew when I was talking. 3. Omg they have beautiful grounds! So well maintained and thought out. It truly feels like an oasis there. As a gardener, I really enjoyed the habitat they've built.
