Fantastic stay at Holly Cottage. Great location at The Buttlands being close to everything. In fact it’s the first time we haven’t had to drive to get to places as the cottage is ideally located to just stay at Wells. Clean comfy bed. Everything you need in the kitchen. Good quality towels and bedding. Dog friendly with small garden. Thank you all for a great stay.

Visit for 3 nights 2,3 & 4 Sept, 2022: I was not aware I was dealing with a third party ie. Norfolk Hideaways. I thought I was dealing with the owner/host. I thought that was the idea of Airbnb? In future I will double check who I am dealing with. I was hassled by Norfolk Hideaways from March until I paid in August for extra cleaning costs for two dogs! The toilets were disgustingly brown and I had to use bleach to clean them up. Allowing for 6 hours on the day of our arrival for cleaning excessive, especially when you ask us to empty bins and strip the beds and leave clean and tidy before leaving! No wardrobe in the double bedroom and nowhere to hang towels to dry each day, especially when sharing the bathroom with friends and all towels are of the same colour! The back garden was uninviting, the grass needed cutting; the fruit from the pear tree needed clearing away; the patio needed sweeping and the patio table needed wiping. There was excessive noise from patrons of the Edinburgh Pub before and after hours and we had to close the windows in order to sleep until they had gone. NB If 4.00 pm access is essential then a later leaving time of say 12 noon should be sufficient for cleaning a small cottage like Holly Cottage, or vice versa. On the positive side this is a pretty cottage, with well equipped kitchen with good quality utensils and crockery. The beds were very comfortable with good quality linen. Situated in the lovely Buttlands with lots of options nearby for good quality restaurants and bars and lovely shops in Staithe Street. I would not recommend for the negative reasons outline above.

Absolutely lovely, very clean, light and airy cottage, extremely central for Wells and for buses to surrounding areas. Would highly recommend.
