The house is overall nice and in a good location for sightseeing, about 45 minutes drive to Gulfoss. One of the main reasons we chose this place was the hot tub, but we got a message the day before arrival that it had broken and they couldn’t find someone to repair it in time, even though a review from a month prior also said it was not working, seems suspicious. Sheets and towels are provided, but you have to make and strip your own beds. The mattresses and pillows are the most basic option available from IKEA, so they meet minimum requirements…but certainly aren’t plush. The kitchen has what you need to prepare meals and everything worked. Definitely follow the instructions to find it, google map couldn’t quite get us there, even using gps coordinates.

Beautiful classic icelandic home with a cabin, country feel,. unfortunately the hot tub was not working. Rooms are bit tight but everything else was fine.

If you are looking for a charming stay surrounded only by nature (only a few houses are nearby), we can recommend this stay! The kitchen is well equipped and we found everything as described. We really enjoyed the view from the terrace especially the amazing night sky.
