A lovely weekend at Brandrith farm cottage. We chose this as it was located in an isolated area as our dog is very scared of fireworks. The location was perfect and we didn't hear hardly any fireworks. The cottage was lovely. Really cosy and we loved the log burning fire. Sara was a great host - popping in to say hello when we arrived and leaving some homemade shortbread in the kitchen. She recommended local areas of interest and gave us a free pass to the local arbatorium which was very kind. The dog enjoyed having a mooch around the garden which was fully enclosed. A lovely weekend in a great cottage.

We had a fantastic few days at Brandrith Farm Cottage near Welburn, a beautiful cottage in a stunning location with uninterrupted views over the valley and nearby to Castle Howard and the market town of Malton. This beautifully decorated cottage was matched by our wonderful host, Sara, who was both very friendly and always happy to assist. The perfect location for a stay requiring peace and tranquillity, also with good indoor and outdoor space for our furry companions (useful hosepipe in the farmyard for washdowns) and vast spaces of open countryside on the doorstep. The nearest pub in Welburn, the Crown & Cushion, was also a very manageable 40 minute walk and opposite a lovely deli called Dogh, with some wonderful products. The cottage is well located for day trips to York, Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors. Sara, you should be very proud of your setup here, it was wonderful, and we can definitely say that we will be making a return visit in the future, a 5* rating all round.

Lovely rural location, perfect for walking locally and very peaceful. More than enough room for two people.

A truly lovely place. Very comfortable with everything we needed. Decorated and furnished with taste. Bedroom particularly is great! The dogs loved the garden (we quite liked it too!)
