In the heart of Crosby, Merseyside, close to College Road with its many shops and restaurants. Just a 5 minute walk from Crosby Beach with its permanent art installation- Another Place- by Anthony Gormley. Beautiful parks nearby and it’s a lovely, quiet area- admire the view of the beautiful old church at the end of the road from your doors. Pop over to College Road for a wander round the shops (including an excellent antique shop I’m very fond of myself) and eat lunch or dinner at one of the many eateries. Buy the makings of a picnic from the nearby supermarket (you have a fridge and a table, with all the cutlery etc you need & I’ll happily lend you a picnic basket) and take it down to the beach to watch the spectacular sunset. Or get takeout from a local place (we have some of the best fish & chips you have ever tasted at the College Fryer) and eat it while relaxing on our patio at our firepit table & watch the local pipistrelle bats chase moths over the fire. Also, make friends with some of our very friendly garden visitors, like Icarus the magpie and Figaro the blackbird, who you will catch spying on you constantly (they are extremely curious) or have a snuggle with our friendly dog Evie (or not- don’t worry- we’ll keep her away if you’re not keen). You can even feed our resident tortoise, who has a little house in the garden.

Plenty of parking along the road outside, just 5 minutes from Blundellsands & Crosby station. Trains every 15 mins that will take you to Hoylake (closest station to the Open) in 1 hour (1 change at Liverpool Central). The train takes you direct to Liverpool city centre in 15 minutes. It also takes to you to Formby Pinewoods in 10 minutes if you want to go see the red squirrels/ visit Formby Beach. Also takes you to Southport in 20 minutes. We’re on the main bus routes as well, the bus home will actually drop you outside our garden gate! There’s also plenty of taxis- costing around £15 to take you to Liverpool.
